Terms of Use

Agreement to these terms

By creating an account or using L.O.U.D., you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms apply only to L.O.U.D..

Eligibility and lawful use

You may use L.O.U.D. only where it is lawful for you to do so and where you meet the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for complying with all laws and regulations that apply to the cultivation, possession, and use of cannabis in your jurisdiction.

L.O.U.D. is a tracking and reference tool. Using the app does not make any cultivation, possession, or use legal, and nothing in the app is legal advice.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account and password secure and for activity that occurs through your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current. You may log out or delete your L.O.U.D. data at any time from Profile.

Acceptable use and prohibited misuse

You agree not to misuse the app — for example, not to access another user's data, attempt to bypass plan limits or security measures, upload malicious content, or use the app for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated misuse.

Your content and ownership

You retain ownership of the content you create in L.O.U.D., including your grow records, photos, notes, and shelf products. You grant L.O.U.D. only the limited rights necessary to store, operate, and display the service — for example, to show you your own data, to process AI and Plant Doctor requests, and to display content you explicitly choose to share. We do not claim ownership of your private photos beyond what is needed to operate the service.

Private versus public content

Uploading content to L.O.U.D. does not make it public. Private content stays visible only to you unless you explicitly share it. You are responsible for the content you submit and for ensuring you have the right to upload and, where applicable, share it.

Public Grows and Discover

Public Grows are an opt-in feature. When you share a grow, only the information you approve becomes public. Other users can discover and view shared grows. You can stop sharing at any time, which hides your grow from discovery. We may remove public content that violates these terms, and users can report content through the existing reporting feature. You remain responsible for the accuracy and legality of anything you choose to make public.

Strain and product information accuracy

Strain and product information in L.O.U.D. may come from reference or community sources and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Typical values can vary by breeder, phenotype, and growing conditions. Community-submitted information is not automatically treated as verified. Do not rely on catalog information as a guarantee.

AI-generated guidance limitations

L.O.U.D. AI and Plant Doctor provide AI-generated guidance and image-based analysis. This guidance may be incomplete or incorrect. It is informational only and is not a substitute for professional, agronomic, legal, medical, or safety advice. Use your own judgment, and verify anything important before acting on it.

Plans and subscriptions

L.O.U.D. offers a Free plan and a Pro plan. Pro is a recurring subscription billed through Stripe. Current pricing is $4.99 CAD per month or $39.99 CAD per year. Pricing may be shown in different currencies where applicable; the amount presented at checkout is authoritative.

Pro subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Profile → Plan. After cancelling, access to Pro features continues until the end of the current paid billing period, then the account returns to the Free plan.

Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time through the app (Profile → Plan → Cancel). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Other than what may be required by law, we do not currently offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe a charge is in error, contact support.

Account deletion

You can delete your L.O.U.D. data from Profile → Account → Delete. This removes your private grow records, photos, shelf, environments, reminders, AI and Plant Doctor history, and usage counts, and cancels any active subscription. Because of how the underlying platform manages accounts, deleting your data does not delete your login identity; signing back in with the same email may start a fresh, empty account.

Service availability

We strive to keep L.O.U.D. available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Features, limits, and content may change. You are responsible for keeping your own records of anything important to you.

Intellectual property

L.O.U.D., its design, branding, and curated catalog content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable laws. These terms grant no rights to our trademarks or content except as needed to use the app.

Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app, AI guidance, Plant Doctor diagnoses, or catalog information will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your situation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, L.O.U.D. and its providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, crop, or revenue, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Any total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months, if any.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use the app after changes indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
