Privacy Policy

Overview

L.O.U.D. is a cannabis grow-tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies only to L.O.U.D. and the services described here.

Account information

To create an account we store your email address and the authentication identity used to sign in (email/password or a third-party provider such as Google). You may optionally set a public "grower name" used only when you choose to share a grow. Your internal user identifiers are never shown to other users.

Private grow information

The records you log are private by default and visible only to you. This includes: plants, strains and growth stages; grow environments and equipment; temperature and humidity readings; watering, feeding and other activity records (including water volume, pH and EC where you log them); notes; reminders; progress photos; and harvest data such as weights and dates.

Private grow information is not published automatically. Nothing in this category becomes public unless you explicitly share it through the Public Grows feature.

Shelf and product records

Your shelf holds the products you add — names, brands, categories, NPK values, and label or scan images you upload or capture. Shelf records are private to you.

AI and Plant Doctor requests

L.O.U.D. includes AI-powered features. When you use L.O.U.D. AI, your question, your conversation history, and any image you attach are sent to our AI provider along with context assembled from your own logged grow data, so the response can reference your records. When you use Plant Doctor, the images you submit and the assembled grow context are sent to our AI provider to generate a diagnosis. Diagnosis results and your conversation history are stored in your account.

AI responses and image-based diagnoses may be incomplete or incorrect, and should not be relied on as professional, agronomic, legal, medical or safety advice.

Usage and metering

To enforce plan limits, the app stores a monthly count of your L.O.U.D. AI and Plant Doctor uses. These records contain only a feature name, a period, and a count — not the content of your questions or images.

Subscription information

If you subscribe to L.O.U.D. Pro, we store your plan, its status, your billing period, and the identifiers your payment provider (Stripe) assigns to your customer and subscription. Payment card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by L.O.U.D..

Public Grows and shared content

Public Grows are an optional feature. When you choose to share a grow, the app copies only the information you approve into a separate public record — for example your grower name, strain, stage, selected photos, and the sections you toggle on. Private notes, reminders, AI and Plant Doctor history, and photos you do not select never become public. You can stop sharing at any time, which hides the grow from discovery without deleting your private plant.

Photo privacy

Photos you upload are private by default and are stored using the app's existing file-storage provider. A photo is never made public automatically. Only photos you explicitly select in the Share flow appear in a Public Grow. Deleting your L.O.U.D. data removes your private records according to the current deletion architecture described below; we do not claim physical file deletion beyond what the platform actually guarantees.

Strain and community catalog

Strain information may come from curated reference data or from community submissions, and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Submitting a strain or product for the shared catalog does not expose your private grow data; only the submitted catalog information may be reviewed and, if verified, shared with other users.

How we use your information

To provide and maintain the app; to generate AI and Plant Doctor responses using your saved context; to meter plan usage; to process subscriptions; to enable the optional Public Grows and Discover features; and to provide support. We do not sell your private grow data.

Third-party service providers

The app relies on third parties to operate: an authentication provider (for sign-in, such as Google), an AI provider (for L.O.U.D. AI and Plant Doctor), and a payment provider (Stripe) for subscriptions. Each provider receives only the information necessary to perform its function and is subject to its own privacy practices.

Data retention and deletion

Your private grow data is kept until you delete it. You can delete your L.O.U.D. data from Profile → Account → Delete. This permanently removes your private records (plants, photos, environments, shelf, activities, reminders, AI and Plant Doctor history, and usage counts) and cancels any active subscription so you are not billed further. Shared catalog information you submitted may be retained in the catalog.

Because of how the underlying platform manages accounts, deleting your data does not delete your login identity. Signing back in with the same email may start a fresh, empty L.O.U.D. account.

Your privacy choices

You can edit or delete individual records in the app, stop sharing any Public Grow, cancel a Pro subscription, or delete your L.O.U.D. data. You can also control device notifications and appearance from Profile.

Privacy requests

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, or to ask a privacy question, contact support through the Help & Support page.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including per-user data isolation so other users cannot see your private grow data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Children

L.O.U.D. is not intended for anyone under the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction, and is not directed to minors.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use the app after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
